Psychology Student Wins Prestigious Baker/Koob Grant
Fourth year psychology student Eden Peterson recently received the Baker and Koob grant endowment to pursue a research project she developed with communications professor Leslie Nelson, and communications student Drew Gilmore.
The Baker and Koob endowment is a competitive grant that awards funding to cross-disciplinary projects that promote hands-on learning opportunities. Their research project is investigating the mediating role of family communication accommodation and disclosure between adverse childhood experiences and physical and mental health outcomes later in life.
