Fall 2026 Student Peer Guides

Meet your Fall 2026 PSY & CD Peer Guides!

Our Psychology & Child Development Peer Guides are here to help you navigate Cal Poly. Whether you’re wondering where to go for advising, how to get a permission code, how to schedule a meeting with a professor/ Department head, course options or substitutions, or opportunities like study abroad --we’ve got you covered.

We can also share our personal experiences with classes, professors, internships, research, and campus life. Think of us as your first stop for questions, guidance, and support from students who’ve been there!

"Hey everyone! I’ll be on one of your peer guides this semester. A few of my interests include listening or making music, traveling and fashion. I also dance for SLO breakers and am a student liaison for TRIO. I plan to take my psychology degree the business route where I can get into sales and marketing consulting. I became a Peer Guide because I want to offer the same kind of support that seriously helped me when I was transitioning into Cal Poly and the Psychology Department. I’m looking forward to what this semester has to offer with a more lengthy, yet extensive pace. We’ll do this together!"

"Hi everyone I'll be one of your peer guides this semester. In my free time I enjoy golfing, training martial arts, and listening to music. I am currently in the accounting club and am planning on joining the vibe coding club. Professionally, I plan on entering the business world using my psychology degree. I will be interning at an accounting firm after graduation and plan to pursue that as a career. I chose to become a peer guide because I have had great prior experiences with them and enjoy helping others, especially with the quarter-to-semester change. This next academic year I look forward to visiting friends at other schools and finishing my last year at Cal Poly strong."
